Adriatic Gate Container Terminal Transaction reaching the final stages

MTBS has been appointed by Luka Rijeka to act as the transaction advisor for the preparation and implementation of the “Adriatic Gate Container Terminal Transaction”.  Under this Transaction, 51% of the shares of Luka Rijeka’s  daughter company Adriatic Gate (Croatia largest container terminal operator) are offered for sale to a suitable Strategic Partner.

The Prequalification stage has been completed in May 2010, resulting in a shortlist of 5 potential candidates which have been invited to submit a binding offer during the Request for Proposal stage. In the coming period, representatives of all candidates will present their concept Business Plan to the management of Luka Rijeka/Adriatic Gate. Main objective for the future partner will be to invest in superstructure and equipment on the Brajdica Container Terminal, increase operational excellence, attract additional cargo volumes and open new markets in the EU and beyond. According to the timeline, the future Strategic Partner will be announced before the end of this year.
