Following to the competitive tender issued by the Government of Liberia, APM Terminals was announced preferred candidate to develop and operate the Freeport of Monrovia. The scope of the concession includes the financing and rehabilitation of the main quay and terminal, handling of containers and general cargo, and provision of marine services for the next 25 years. APM Terminals will invest approximately USD 120 million over the 25 year concession agreement. MTBS acted as transaction advisor to the Liberian Government for the preparation of the concession and the execution of the awarding procedure
