Following to the appointment of APM Terminals as preferred candidate for the Freeport of Monrovia Concession by the Government of Liberia the parties commenced final negotiations of the concession agreement. The concession includes financing and rehabilitation of the main quay and terminal, handling of containers and general cargo, and provision of marine services for the next 25 years. MTBS acted as transaction advisor to the Liberian Government during the contract preparation and awarding process including the final negotiations.
