mtbs and How-to are selected to perform the Economic Cost Benefit Analysis for the Second Maritime Entrance for the Waaslandhaven in the Port of Antwerp

The Flemish government selected mtbs and How-to to perform the Economic Cost Benefit Analysis for the Second Maritime Entrance for the Waaslandhaven in the Port of Antwerp. The future growth of the port of Antwerp will be realized in the Waaslandhaven on the west side of the river Schelde. This growth can only be accommodated if the capacity of the maritime entrance is enlarged. Various project alternatives are defined, including the construction of a second lock to the Waaslandhaven. The Economic Cost Benefit Analysis will determine whether the project is viable from an economic point of view and what project alternative is economically most efficient.mtbs and How-to bring together understanding of the to-be-applied approach to the Economic Cost Benefit Analysis and understanding of the port sector in general and the Antwerp port in specific. Both RebelGroup subsidiaries cooperate frequently on several assignments in The Netherlands, Belgium and globally (Havenmonitor 2004, Havenmonitor 2005, Market en Competitive Analysis Channel zone Gent Terneuzen, Ship Economic Study Channel zone Gent Terneuzen, Port of Rijeka).
