mtbs manager Mark-Simon Benjamins was invited to speak at the Intermodel Africa  2008 port conference in Accra, Ghana, February 28.

 

Mark argued the option for governments and authorities to expand ports by partnering with private investors on the public side through a BOT master concession, which was warmly received.  

At the conference he announced the advent of the "Port Investment Fund I", a private equity fund investing in strategic port businesses, primarily in emerging markets. 

Intermodal Africa is the largest annual container ports, shipping and transport logistics exhibition and conference to take place on the African continent every year and one of the largest within the Europe Middle East and Africa Corridor. mtbs presented for the 6^th straight year.
