MTBS strong competitor during 7hill run
Nijmegen November 18 2008 – a team of mtbs runners have set competitive times during the annual 7 Hill Run in Nijmegen in the east of The Netherlands. After just over an hour, the first mtbs contestants crossed the finish line. With over 25,000 contestants, the 7 Hill Run in Nijmegen is internationally regarded as one of the Classics. This year Ethiopian Ayele Abshiro finished first with a record-time of 42 minutes and 17 seconds, followed by Isaac Kiprop from Uganda, 4 seconds behind.
MTBS highlights of this edition include the top performance of Havard Rorvik and his partner and mtbs talent Wendy Gerrits. The former with his incredible time of 1 hour and 2 minutes and 48 seconds, and the latter by just finishing the race on time without any preparation. Other highlights include Paul van Eulem who, although barely recovered from a knee-injury, finished just seconds behind Havard Rorvik and inexperienced long-distance runners such as Attie Kuiken and Hidde Siemonsma setting competitive benchmark times for future participation.
