Macro Economic Potential Inland Waterways in Wallonia

The Wallonia region and the ports of Antwerp and Rotterdam have signed a strategic cooperation agreement with focus on  the Inland Waterways. As part of  this strategic cooperation agreement the Port of Rotterdam has  the responsibility to report on the macro economic potential  of the inland waterways . MTBS has been assigned to deliver this macroeconomic study. As a result of this assignment the volumes to be expected (2030) on the inland waterways in the Hamburg-Le Havre range were quantified, expressed in TEU’s’, as well as the bottlenecks to be solved to facilitate the future increase of volume flows over the inland waterways.
