MTBS Recruitment Event

On the 30th of July 2018, MTBS organises a Recruitment Event for graduated MSc. students. During this event, selected students will have interviews with MTBS employees from the Consultant, Senior Consultant, Manager, and Director level, with the goal to fulfil two full-time job positions at MTBS. Both positions concern the function of Financial & Strategy Analyst. All students should be able to start from September 2018.

Job Description

We seek recent graduates as well as more experienced analysts with a sound grasp of applied economics and/or finance and demonstrated analytical skills. You understand the maritime- and transport business and want to grow within the sector as a well-grounded expert. Key Responsibilities

At MTBS you will be part of the team from day one, working on one of our global advisory mandates as an Financial & Strategy Analyst. Tasks include economic analysis, market analysis, financial analysis of investments, analysis of the institutional setting, and data gathering.

As part of the team, you will also travel along to client visits, for local data gathering, stakeholder interviews, presentation of study results, and workshops.

Finally, an important part of our business is also business development, in which you will also have a hand from day one. As an Analyst, you will be involved in finding creative and intelligent solutions to optimally show our company’s capabilities in order to write winning bids for prospective projects. This means you will be involved in all facets of a consultancy business from day one, getting the opportunity to set out on a steep learning curve and develop into a well-rounded port- and maritime sector expert.


  • Academic background: completed MSc. Degree;
  • 0-3 years working experience;
  • Affinity with ports and transport;
  • Financial-strategic oriented;
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills;
  • Responsible and enthusiast team player;
  • Willing to travel internationally; and,
  • Fluent in written and spoken Dutch and English (French or Spanish is an advantage).
