Project Description

MTBS was appointed by the World Bank as transaction advisor for the tugboat procurement & PSP implementation for the towage services in the port of Berbera. MTBS was responsible for drafting the technical specifications of the tugboat and for providing assistance with the procurement. In addition MTBS determined the optimal business unit structure, conducted the transaction preparation & implementation and provided negotiation support. The project was concluded with a successful implementation of the concession agreement between the port authority and a local private towage service company.
