DEVELOPMENT
of the Bulgarian Port Policy Plan
August 2014 – January 2015
Project Description
MTBS was selected by the Bulgarian Port Infrastructure Company to assist with the development of a national Bulgarian Port Policy. Based on the analysed ‘as-is’ situation of the Bulgarian ports and various market assessments, future traffic forecasts were made for containers, break bulk, various dry bulk products (agri-bulk, copper concentrates), liquid bulk (sulphuric acid & hydrocarbons) and sea/river cruise passengers. In addition, strategic options for the further development of the Bulgarian port sector were given in order to help Bulgarian ports to reach EU standards.
