FEASIBILITY STUDY AND SITE ANALYSIS
for a New Deep-Water Port in Guyana
April 2018 – August 2019
Project Description
MTBS was hired by the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) to conduct a feasibility study and site-analysis for the development of a greenfield deep-sea port in Guyana. The main goal of the assessment was to support the Government of Guyana in the decision-making process on implementation and PPP-structuring of the project. MTBS prepared four business cases for five potential port locations and through a multi-criteria assessment made a recommendation on the preferred port site, port scope and implementation plan.
