for Semi-Automation Cape Town and Durban Container Terminals

Project Description

MTBS was contracted as part of a consortium by Transnet Port Terminals (TPT) to conduct a feasibility study for the implementation of semi-automation on the Cape Town Container Terminal (CTCT) and Durban Container Terminal Pier 1 (DCT1). MTBS prepared two financial models and evaluated the financial business case for semi-automating the container handling equipment on both terminals. MTBS presented the results to the executive leadership of TPT during a site visit to South Africa.
