MTBS was hired by a terminal operator to conduct an investment scan for brownfield container terminals worldwide. Based on MTBS’ proprietary target investment database, the team prepared a longlist of investment opportunities matching the investment criteria. This list was subsequently reduced by means of a multi-criteria analysis to a shortlist, for which MTBS analysed growth potential, the competitive landscape, valuation considerations, and elaborated potential transaction execution strategies.
