for the Eastern and Southern African Port Sector

Project Description
MTBS was assigned by the World Bank to prepare an institutional assessment, strategic market analysis, and capacity assessment for 15 major ports of eastern and southern Africa. MTBS conducted analyses for various cargo types and prepared a 30 year capacity/demand forecast for the region. Furthermore, an assessment of the port-city interface in eastern and southern African port cities was carried out and the degree of integration in these ports was analysed.
