Project Description
In 2014 DP World was evaluating an opportunity to establish an inland container depot (ICD) and associated bonded warehouse facilities in the Kurdistan region, Northern Iraq, to facilitate the import and export of containerised cargo via Turkey. As part of this evaluation, DP World has hired MTBS to gain understanding of the potential market for containerised imports and exports to the region, cargo types, current market participants, key trade routes and any challenges (legal, commercial or technical) faced by shippers looking to import/export to/from the region.
