Project Description

MTBS and her consortium partners were hired by the Venice Port Authority to conduct a masterplan study for the port. The masterplan contained the future development of the port of Venice for the commercial trade, the industrial trade and for the cruise industry. Important aspects of the masterplan are future port demand on liquid bulk, dry bulk, general cargo, containers, roro and cruise developments. This includes opportunities of the TEN-T corridors and Motorways of the Seas. Other important elements addressed in the plan included; the conversion and cleaning of old industrial areas, urban interfaces, relocation of activities, new developments and environmental concerns.
