for Zero-Carbon Shipping in South Africa

Project Description
MTBS was hired by the World Bank to conduct a pre-feasibility study for a hydrogen value chain for the supply of zero carbon bunker fuels in the ports of Boegoebaai and Saldanha. The scope comprised the full value chain from renewable energy up until the marine infrastructure required for bunkering vessels. MTBS developed the demand assessment and the financial model for the supply chain based on which the feasibility was assessed.
