Project Description
On behalf of Kenya Ports Authority, MTBS prepared a productivity improvement plan for the port of Mombasa. With a focus on the container transport chain, the study identified barriers to port performance, provided recommendations on how to alleviate these barriers and advised on how to maintain a sustainable performance level. Areas of interest concerned: stakeholder management, nautical access, terminal operations, off-dock operations, hinterland connectivity, interaction with customs, labour productivity, management-labour relations and competency-based training.
