Project Description
MTBS was hired by Kenya Ports Authority (KPA) as transaction advisor for berths 1-3 in the port of Lamu. MTBS assisted in the negotiations, development of the concession agreement and facilitation up to financial close, through a PPP arrangement. MTBS prepared the business case, the negotiation strategy report, a draft concession agreement, a PPP contract and a risk management plan and provided various training workshops for KPA staff.
