The government of Liberia, with support from the World Bank, seeks to improve the management and sustainable utilisation of its fisheries resources. To achieve this goal and to promote food security and economic benefits, an investment program is being developed. MTBS is proud to have been appointed as the Consultant to conduct a financial and economic analysis. The results will play a pivotal role in determining the necessary scale of investments that are required for development of fisheries port infrastructure.
Together with the National Fisheries and Aquaculture Authority and local specialists, MTBS has successfully conducted a feasibility study for the development of an Industrial Fishing Port and Artisanal Landing facility at Monrovia. Various design concepts were assessed against the future needs of the fisheries sector for infrastructure. In addition, we structured a business case for the construction and operation of the proposed fisheries port.
